Is an experienced civil litigator and appellate attorney. As former Associate General Counsel to one of Florida’s largest insurance companies, Mr. Bernstein had the opportunity to participate in hundreds of property insurance disputes from the inside of the insurance company.
With this extensive experience and knowledge, John S. Bernstein now focuses his career assisting property owners in their disputes against insurance carriers in order to facilitate and maximize recovery and results. John S. Bernstein has also served as general counsel to hundreds of South Florida condominium and homeowners associations.
Practice areas include property insurance disputes between property owners and their insurance companies; property insurance disputes between condominium associations and their insurance companies; and damage disputes between unit owners and their condominium associations. Additionally, John S. Bernstein can pursue or defend foreclosures, injunctions, evictions, land use disputes, as well as the many other legal matters that confront the South Florida land owner. Prior to his litigation career, John S. Bernstein served as both a commissioned officer and an enlisted sailor in the United States Navy.
He earned his J.D. Summa Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed in both the Florida state and federal courts.
